Join us as we celebrate Black History Month with a presentation on the 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion. Presented by Denise McBride, Battalion 6888 was the only all-female, all-Black unit to be deployed overseas during World War II. Known as the "Six Triple Eight", the unit consisted of approximately 850 women, both enlisted and officers, commanded by Major Charity Adams.
